Jet Lag / Band
Jet Lag is a group of 5 school friends with a common interest in rock music, with a focus placed on the classics. Formed in 2013 by the drummer and bassist, Jet Lag now has 5 members and has played at several parties and events inside and outside of school such as the clash of the coverbands benelux editie. Jet Lag takes a lot of influence from several well-known figures in music history. The singer, Emma Wilson, is particularly inspired by the vocal-work of artists such as Robert Plant and Bon Scott while Eden Short, the guitarist, enjoys playing solos influenced by players such as David Gilmour, Eric Clapton and Matthew Bellamy. Tim Hanford and Julia Kempenaers, playing drums and bass respectively, find inspiration from rhythm names such as Led Zeppelin’s John Bonham and John Paul Jones, as well as Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason and Roger Waters. On keyboard, Luca Wirner draws influences from many classical composers as well as blues players and modern artists such as Muse’s Matthew Bellamy. Unlike most other cover bands, Jet Lag aims to always add its own touches to the pieces it plays by adding experimental guitar solos, jazz breaks and blues influenced instrumental sections.
