We are The Unslain, a four piece Modern Old-School Metal band based in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Our music is a harmonious blend of 80’s heavy metal nostalgia with a contemporary edge that sets us apart.
At the core of our sound, you’ll find raw and passionate vocals, accompanied by powerful melodic riffs and an infectious groove. Yet our songs have a unique flavor, featuring hints of polymetric rhythms and occasional neck-snapping breakdowns, creating a blend that captivates fans of all ages.
When we step onto the stage, get ready for an unforgettable and energetic performance. Our setlist consists entirely of original compositions, and every second is designed to both thrill and entertain.
Our commitment to providing captivating live experience both musically and visually is evident from our carefully curated stage decoration, further elevating the overall atmosphere and aiming to leave a lasting impression.
We’re humbled and proud to have won the audience prize in the Dutch Metal Battle on the 20th of April 2019. This success propelled us forward to meticulously craft our latest offering, ‘Descending,’ which hit the airwaves in May of 2023.
