I am Katerina Papakostaki, a Greek, young and talented cellist living in beautiful Utrecht. I discovered the life of a cellist at the young age of 6 and ever since all my life evolves around the beautiful sounds of classical cello music. I love discovering music in any place and circumstance since I believe that you can evolve and become better through the Art of Music anywhere you are.
As a professional cellist I focus on playing mainly classical repertoire, such as Bach Cello Suites, the vast romantic cello repertoire and classical modern and contemporary composers, like Peteris Vasks and George Crumb among others. Of course I am always open and happy to broad my horizons to new challenges and music genres, so if there is a special request for a specific kind of music or song different from my style, I will be more than happy to try it out for you.
My type of concert is perfect for a beautiful sunny Sunday family gathering, a professional venue or an artistic project. I would also be the perfect ''touch'' in your wedding ceremony, baptism or birthday party. I could also perfectly fit in a cocktail party, a feast, a gala or a garden party, even a housewarming.
If you love the warm sound of Cello and you think that acoustic classical music is the perfect fit in your special day, I will be more than delighted to be at your service.
